Almaty to Baku 2017

In November 2017 after dipping from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan I crossed west towards the Caucasus region by traversing a stint of the world that I've long wanted to do: a 72 hour train across the Kazakh steppe and then a 48 hour boat crossing of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan.
